Returning for its sixth edition this September, Liverpool’s International Festival of Psychedelia once again promises to be a two-day voyage across continents and a trip down memory lane as 70s Swedish psych trailblazers Träd Gräs Och Stenar and Zambian psych rock band W.I.T.C.H. play alongside previously anounced headliners The Black Angels and Songhoy Blues.

The Black Angels’ annual Levitation festival in Austin, Texas is cited as one of the festival’s inspirations, while Mali’s Songhoy Blues stop off at the festival for a rare UK performance. Other highlights include Acid Arab, who mix traditional North African sounds with hard-edged electronica, while psychedelic trailblazers Loop, former Stereolab frontwoman Laetitia Sadier and much-celebrated dub industrialist Adrian Sherwood are also not to be missed.

Today the festival announced further acts added to the already stellar lineup. These include The Bug vs Dylan Carlson, Jane Weaver, The Telescopes, Il Sogno Del Marinaio, Gnod, The Holydrug Couple, Fujiya & Miyagi, Cosmonauts, Patten, Krautwerk and Endless Boogie and the addition of a showcase stage courtesy of Castle Face Records

Taking place across a number of warehouse spaces in the city’s Baltic Triangle, the event will also host DJs, label curations, installations and audiovisual explorations.

Liverpool Psych Fest takes place between 22-23 September 2017, with more acts yet to be announced. Tickets are available at liverpoolpsychfest.com.
