Announcing: The Skinny Stage at The Garden Party, Leeds

Feature by News Team | 16 Jul 2015

We're pleased to say we're partnering a stage at this year's Garden Party, Leeds, programmed by Now Wave and Eat Your Own Ears.

The Skinny stage proudly boasts the likes of Errors, Dutch Uncles and Lonelady across Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August.

The Bank Holiday Weekend event is the first outing for the Garden Party to The Tetley brewery, the annual shindig having previously been held at the much-loved Faversham pub – and this year marks its tenth birthday. As such, the festival has evolved from an all-dayer to a full blown weekend celebration, spanning musical performance, DJs, immersive art and street food.

With a plethora of live acts including Roisin Murphy, Nordic disco king Todd Terje, Swedish four-piece Little Dragon and roots singer-songwriter Ady Suleiman – plus DJs including Joy Orbison, Black Coffee, Heidi, Bicep and Paul Woolford – the festival is set to be one of the cultural highlights of the summer in the Northwest.

Taking to The Skinny stage on Saturday 29 August will be Glasgow electro trio Errors, Manchester art-pop quintet Dutch Uncles, Haelos, and Whilk and Misky, while Sunday 30 August has 16-bit disco dons Galaxians, dream poppers Bernard + Edith, Honne, Lonelady and Formation. Now Wave and EYOE DJs will play across the weekend, and there are still more acts to be announced.

As expected, the Garden Party's food and drink offering looks pretty delectable too, with culinary delights coming from some of the UK's top street food trucks (thanks to support from Leeds Indie Food Fest and Mad Ferret), including fresh stonebaked pizzas courtesy of Pizza Fella, El Kantina's Mexican dishes, and the Cocktail Shack. If you fancy a spot of fine dining, there will also be an on-site restaurant.

Tickets for The Garden Party Leeds start at just £19.50 (day) and £29.50 (weekend). Tickets and the full lineup can be found at http://www.thegardenpartyleeds.com
