Montreal quartet Suuns will join an impressive line-up at the debut Transformer event at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse in May. Little Annie (fka Annie Anxiety of Crass), London psych-poppers JC Flowers and Sex Swing – a supergroup comprising members of Mugstar, Part Chimp, Earth and Dethscalator – have also been added to the bill.

Taking place on 28 May (Bank Holiday Sunday), Transformer previously announced that no-wave survivors Swans, Mark E Smith's indefatigable The Fall and reformed scuzz-rockers Royal Trux would play, alongside Charles Hayward and Charles Bullen's This Is Not This Heat project, drone veterans Loop and electronic experimentalists Mueran Humanos.

The indoor festival will also host a record fair, cinema and food stalls, with the promise of more to follow – book tickets here.
