Stag & Dagger to return for 2016

The Stag & Dagger mini-festival has announced the first bands for its 2016 edition in Glasgow this May.

Edinburgh hip-hop outfit Stanley Odd and former Delgados guitarist Emma Pollock are among the first acts confirmed for the one-dayer, alongside multi-instrumental duo Slow Club, New York indie stalwarts We Are Scientists, Francis Lung – the new project from former WU LYF bassist Tom McClung – and surf-pop two-piece The Van T's. Last year saw the team behind Stag & Dagger join forces with Live at Leeds for Live at Glasgow, featuring the Thurston Moore Band,  Honeyblood, Catholic Action and more – read our review of Live at Glasgow 2015. Past Stag & Dagger bills have featured landmark Scottish shows for the likes of Warpaint, Django Django, and Mac DeMarco.

Stag & Dagger takes place at various Glasgow venues on 1 May.
