#SFTOCSkinny: The Shortlist!
A week since Sounds from the Other City festival, and we've emerged from two things: our hangovers, and sorting through more than 300 entries to our photo competition! If you entered, see if you can spot your snap in the 30-strong shortlist below...
This year, to celebrate the unique, creative spirit of Salford's Sounds from the Other City festival, The Skinny teamed up with SFTOC to launch a search for photos that 'Capture the Spirit of Sounds'.
We asked you to share your snaps from the day on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SFTOCSkinny to be in with a chance of winning an amazing bundle of prizes kindly donated by the festival's promoters – with four runners up also receiving a goody bag.
You responded more enthusiastically than we could've hoped for, and we had an incredible 300+ entries!
It's been tough work whittling them down to a shortlist of 30 – but we did it. From there, the SFTOC team selected their favourites – images they felt truly captured the spirit of Sounds. You can find the winning photo and runners-up here, but the entries overall were too good to only publish those five.
Find all 30 shortlisted photos below – we're particularly fond of the wizard playing the drums, a blissed-out Ex-Easter Island Head audience, and everything that's covered in tinsel. Which is most things.
