In Pictures: Solas Festival

Gallery | 02 Jul 2014

Saturday at age-inclusive arts fest Solas, saw the main musical offerings. On the menu were a myriad of predominantly Scottish talent bringing a patchwork of wildly divergent tones to a sunny meadow in rural Perthshire. The very boutique festival played out in one space, with a series of various yurts and tents hosting the action, whilst the numerous little folk tossed frisbees, herded nerfs and lolloped on space-hoppers. It felt altogether more viking settlement gone hipster, than Glastonbury mud-fest; but that was entirely welcome. The space was unnervingly calm and thoughtfully tuned-in to the family market, making it the perfect space to sneak a musical fix in a safe, inclusive space.
