Field Day announces first bands for 2016

PJ Harvey, the Thurston Moore Band, John Grant and GOAT are among the first names on the bill for the Field Day festival in London's Victoria Park on 11 & 12 June 2016.

Deerhunter are joined by James Yorkston's latest project Yorkston Thorne Khan on Saturday's line-up, which also features grime ace Skepta, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Four Tet. Saturday also features live sets from Sam Sheppard's Floating Points alias and experimental producer Holly Herndon, plus a DJ set from Mount Kimbie.

Sunday is headlined by PJ Harvey, with John Grant, Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore and Swedish psych collective GOAT among the first wave of bands announced.

Field Day is at Victoria Park, London on 11 & 12 June 2016; tickets are on sale now.
