Carnival Fifty Six reveals comedy stage line-up

The new Dundee music festival has unveiled the comedy line-up for its inaugural edition

Topping the bill are Irish stand-up and Altitude comedy festival co-founder Andrew Maxwell, Richard Herring and Simon Evans. Canadian force of nature Glenn Wool, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Phil Nichol, Mark Nelson, Kai Humphries, Jenny Bede, Chris Betts and Iain Stirling make up the line-up, compered by Matt Richardson and Billy Kirkwood.   

Music-wise, Carnival Fifty Six features a plethora of up-and-coming and established bands from across Scotland and beyond, including electro post-punks WHITE, Glasgow guitar pop four-piece The Van T'sBe Charlotte, Elle Exxe, Leith-based tropical indie crew Indigo Velvet and Dundee rockers Fat Goth. 

The festival's DJ line-up features sets from Hot Chip and Basement Jaxx, as well as Sub Club duo Harri & Domenic and the ever-popular Denis Sulta, while Mark Ronson, Rudimental and Clean Bandit headline the two-day fest. Check out our guide to the line-up here.
