The lineup for this year’s Dundead festival at Dundee Contemporary Arts has been announced.

The UK premiere of American kidnap thriller The Badger Game leads the Dundead schedule, with screenings of Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s The Town That Dreaded Sundown reboot, Scottish horror Let Us Prey, and “body horror tale for the hopeless romantic” Spring also featuring at the festival, which runs from 30 April to 3 May.

There are also showings for psychological thriller Faults, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Death Proof), and Open Windows, a Rear Window update with Elijah Wood (the panes in question are the video feeds on his character's computer screen).

Fans of classic horror are catered for with big-screen outings for the 1931 versions of Dracula and Frankenstein, starring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff respectively, alongside a showing of Vincent Price’s House of Wax 3D from 1953. There will also be the chance to catch three Kurt Russell and John Carpenter classics on the big screen, with late-night showings of Escape from New York, The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China.

Dundead 2015 runs from 30 Apr to 3 May at Dundee Contemporary Arts; tickets go on sale on Mon 13 April.
