Sónar announce Hong Kong festival for 2017
The Barcelona-based Sónar music festival has revealed details of an inaugural Hong Kong edition of the festival this April
Sónar Hong Kong – taking place at Hong Kong Science Park on 1 April – is headlined by the pioneering hip-hop producer DJ Shadow and an audiovisual collaboration between Nosaj Thing and Japanese artist Daito Manabe. Also on the bill are Lady Leshurr, Kanye West collaborator Evian Christ, Warp Records mainstay Clark and much-loved DJs Gilles Peterson and Dave Clarke; read the full line-up below.
Sónar will also host its debut festival in Istanbul next month, with the fest – featuring Moderat, Floating Points and Roisin Murphy – making its first appearance in the city on 24 & 25 Mar. Sónar have hosted festivals in 27 cities across the globe – the fifth Sónar Reykjavik takes place from 16-18 Feb; Sónar Barcelona runs from 15-17 Jun.
