“What is love?” Róisín and Chiara ask, kicking things off with a high-energy, all-singing, all-dancing opening number. This stands in stark contrast to the sombre, soulful tones of Elvis Presley the duo play as their audience shuffle in, and in no way prepares them for what’s about to come.

Is improvised comedy the way to find out what, exactly, love is? Apparently so, because Róisín and Chiara have brought an hour of lovable, improvised fun to this year's Fringe with Get Nupty.

Watching Róisín and Chiara’s chemistry play out over the course of this show is an absolute joy. It’s a loose concept, sure, but it works for them. Even when it feels like they may have hit a brick wall for material, hilarity always ensues in the sheer silliness of it all. Props aren’t just limited to the items scattered around the stage; the audience are very much a part of this show, and they are the props too – but it’s always playful without being intrusive.

The only criticism that can be made is that the fun ends sooner than the hour that is expected of the duo, falling short at around forty-five minutes. But a case could be made that Róisín and Chiara pack the same amount of fun into three-quarters of an hour that a lot of other shows fit into the full thing.

If what you’re looking for is unadulterated, unbridled and complete delight, then you needn’t look any further. Just get nupty.
