The goofy trio of Business Casual crank the energy up with in your face, quickfire gags to get the room pumped. The ‘shoot from the hip’ delivery suits their childish style well, with jokes galore and overtly incessant callbacks, all whilst interacting with the audience effortlessly.

For a sketch show it is impressive to see a level of audience alertness you’d expect from a weekend MC as the boys’ sharp wit gets the audience involved and on board from the start of the show. Although, Business Casual owe a lot to their tech who’s just as quick on the trigger to bring some strong prerecorded elements to the gang’s onstage antics.

Some of the shorter gags are a bit hit-and-miss, leaving the cast members holding up their hands as they exit the stage. However, due to the speed of their material, the audience forgives and forgets. It must be said a large portion of the material is just one-liners, deviating from the regular sketch format, but the group are smart to break them up as much as they can, avoiding them wearing thin. The longer sketches vary in quality but their anti-weed sketch, with brothers Vince and Chuck, prove they are capable writers and performers.

A whirling dervish hour of sketch, it’ll be exciting to see what comes next now they have their first Fringe under their collective belts.
