Most important question first: Tell us about your show.

Relevant Experience is about why I'll probably never get a job. It has stories about death, terrorism, disability, assault, racism, and fraud (as well as hopes, dreams and destiny). The show is a reflection on the current economic climate, providing an analysis of governmental failures and how this has affected the society we live in (it's not really, it's just jokes and that).

What's going to be unique about this performance of your show?

This is absolutely the only opportunity people will have to see me perform in Brel on 29th March 2012. It's a once in a lifetime thing, you know, like measles.

Due to a lawsuit, you're forced to rename your show. What do you call it?

Free the Partick one.

If your show was a dear friend who had just died, what would you say about it in your eulogy?

I think we all know who was to blame for this.

What inspires you, other than comedy itself?

Mostly tea, but also the ultimate futility of life.

Is there anything in particular that you're looking forward to about playing in Glasgow?

The short walk home.

Or anything you're dreading?

The short walk home.

Where do you stand on Scottish Independence?

In the corner with my hands over my ears screaming "don't ask me, don't ask me!"

Who would get your vote as president of an independent Scotland?

(see above)

What's your favourite comedy festival in the world?

I thought Glasgow was the only one?! (winky face)

If you were organising a fantasy comedy night, who would you have as MC, support and main act?

I prefer to keep my fantasies to myself.

Who else are you going to see during the Glasgow Festival?

Hopefully, I am going to see lots of people in the audience for my show.

Twitter or Facebook?

Twitter is best for meeting new people. For example, you could meet @emalcolmson
