A suitably Germanic-sounding venue provided a fitting home from home for Martin Landsky as the Off the Record crowd set off in true Berlin party style to welcome the tech house maestro on his Scottish debut. The OTR residents played out to a typically high standard, settling in a large, enthusiastic crowd in the main room with waves of low, groovy beats while the Beatonic DJs in the bar kept it funky with their trademark blend of party time hip hop, which had people stepping all night. Landsky's set brought home his impressive credentials and eclectic tastes in a smouldering couple of hours that culminated in dancefloor carnage. Beginning with some stripped down tech house around the 125 bpm mark, the Pokerflat DJ pulled out minimal and electrotech influences to the visible delight of the well-oiled crowd who kept up a marathon night of dancing until the 5am watershed.
