P-Money brings his wild sound to Big 'n' Bashy

Article by George Binning | 22 Jun 2010

This month Big 'n' Bashy will be delivering us a veritable roundhouse kick courtesy of P-Money and DJ Magic. P-Money, the Grime MC from South East London, is a champion of pirate radio with a reputation for rivalry. His bouncing, “skippy” spraying style scans like a heavyweight boxer’s prefight trash talk and he is the only grime artist whose grimepedia entry has a section entitled “beefs”. Such MCing 'incidents' include a spat with Scorcher and a long-standing rivalry with Ghetto.
As if things couldn’t get any more dangerous, P-Money will perform in front of DJ Magic’s rampant rhythmic backdrop. As resident DJ at Dirty Canvas, London’s only regular grime night, Magic provides the concrete foundations upon which armies of MCs have built their castles. As the founder of the No Hats No Hoods label, he has worked with acts such as Skepta, Tempa T, and Lee Brasco.
