With nights normally comprising of not one but two headline DJs as well as residents ENO, DJ Skye and MCs BZ & Tonn Piper, Xplicit is now firmly established as the new hot tip in the ever changing Edinburgh Drum and Bass scene. In their first year Xplicit have managed to cram in an almighty amount of top acts, and with an obvious seductive approach to their promotion, shown in both their flyer design and in the name itself, they are looking to reel in the masses in year two and make sure that they remain 'odds on' for a long time to come.

The roll out for 2006 has already seen DJs Friction and Raiden as well as Hip-Hop act Phi-Live Cypher help celebrate the 1st birthday. Next we can look forward to the return of Pendulum (Breakbeat Kaos) to the club on Saturday Feb 18. The Planet Pendulum Tour touches down at The Venue, Edinburgh, and the trio from Perth Australia - who have dominated the UK Drum and Bass scene for well over a year - are set to smash it in the second Xplicit of the year.

On March 17 comes a four hour live broadcast where Xplicit presents Xtra Bass in association with Radio 1 and 1Xtra. A move to Potterow, Edinburgh University, welcomes Fabio & Grooverider, Bailey, Sappo and residents ENO, Skye, Prophecy, BZ and Tonn Piper. Opening its doors from 9pm–3am, this hearty line-up with six hours of Drum and Bass will be a further inroad into the global Drum and Bass network for what is turning out to be a first rate clubbing force.
