Kinky Afro have always done well with their gargantuan range of musical styles

Kinky Afro crank up their ragga-crunk/gangsta-trance head spins this month with three visionaries of bass and breaks. Radioactive Man's Two Lone Swordsmen project and celebrated albums on Warp should be enough for the clued-up to come flocking to hear his soaring electronics. Following him, Sleepless Crew (Subplate, Dalriada) will be mashing up records, samplers, and keyboards with a lo-fi homegrown electro sound that has won them airplay on Radio 1's Essential Mix. Closing the night off will be a meaty live dubstep set from Monochrome, aka local legend Tom Churchill. Delving deep into his decades of production experience, Monochrome delivers vast slices of bass-heavy, epic urban instrumentals. Kinky Afro have always done well with their gargantuan range of musical styles and this night also features resident DJs Mr Mafro and Douglas Perman, long proven trustworthy for filling the dance floor.
