Numbers & Jackmaster present Mastermix Glasgow @ SWG3, Fri 7 Oct

Kicking off at 9pm and continuing well into the early hours, the Glasgow leg of Mastermix brings the live show of house figurehead Mr. G to SWG3, along with Glasgow buddies Jackmaster and Jasper James, plus Skream, Artwork, Martyn, Pearson Sound and Numbers debutant Peggy Gou. As Jackmaster himself explains, “the whole idea behind Mastermix was to give me the chance to showcase my wider musical tastes and invite a mix of DJs to play alongside me that best represent where my head is musically right now at some of my favourite clubs in the world".

Lobster Theremin @ The Berkeley Suite, Fri 7 Oct

Defying conventional genre rules, London-based imprint Lobster Theremin has been at the forefront of the lo-fi house and techno scene since its formation in 2013. This label showcase hosted by the Loose Joints crew brings together label-boss Jimmy Asquith (who also runs the Find Me In The Dark night at London's Corsica Studios) and Hungarian up-and-comer Imre Kiss, who first turned heads back in 2014 with his techno-slanted EP Raw Energy.

Stay Fresh ft. Kornél Kovács + Baba Stiltz @ Sub Club, Friday 7 October

It's a Scandinavian take-over at Sub Club this Friday, as Stockholm-based producer Kornél Kovács makes an welcome appearance on the back of his impressive, dreamy house debut, The Bells. Joining him is fellow Swede Baba Stilz, known for his woozy electronic productions that skirt acid house and ambient. Stiltz also popped up on one of Munich-based label Public Possession's compilation EPs back in January, alongside Samo DJ and Tzusing.

Halloween is nearly upon us, which means party options aplenty as Scotland's venues seek to outdo each other with the best sonic spookfest. In Glasgow, the festivities kick off with a huge Pressure Halloween 2016 party, featuring Slam, Surgeon, Marcel Fengler, George FitzGerald, DJ Sneak and more still to be announced (28 Oct, £18 + bf, tickets here). On the Saturday, our top picks are Hot Since 82's Knee Deep in Glasgow affair at SWG3, which sees Daley Paley head up proceedings alongside Michael Mayer, François K, Hammer (Feel My Bicep), Thunder Disco and Stay Fresh (29 Oct, £19 + bf, tickets here); and the Sensu Halloween: Terror Vision event featuring Mind Against, Deetron and Sensu resident DJs at The Art School (29 Oct, £10 + bf, tickets here).

Boundless energy to spare? The All Hallows theme continues on into Sunday, when The Berkeley Suite hosts Italoween with Den Haan; the live synthesized dance act and conceptual disco duo aka Matthew Aldworth and Andy Gardiner. Finally, on Halloween proper, the Don't Drop Halloween special brings together techno powerhouse and Ibiza regular Scuba plus Frankfurt alumni Monoloc for some Monday night antics at Sub Club (31 October, £8 + bf, tickets here).
