Sleaze Records presents Hans Bouffmyhre @ La Cheetah Club, 22 July

This Friday Sleaze Records, one of the UK’s premier techno labels, present none other than label founder himself, Hans Bouffmyhre.

At just 25 years of age Bouffmyhre already boasts a decade’s worth of experience as a DJ and producer, having started out with his own Glasgow ‘Sleaze’ parties back in 2006.  His tracks have been spun by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Len Faki, and Ben Clock; no further endorsement needed, in our books.

Dixon Avenue Basement Jams @ The Berkeley Suite, 22 July

Local club label Dixon Avenue Basement Jams go by the motto “real rockin’ raw shit from the street for the clubs”. Since dropping the inaugural Jared Wilson 12” Unknown Desires, the duo of Kenny ‘The Wasp’ Grieve and co-owner Dan ‘Monox’ Lurinsky have championed the likes of Marquis Hawkes, VernoN, Denis Sulta and many more. There’s no doubt similar fare will be in store this Friday when the DABJ take over The Berkeley Suite for a night of top quality, home-grown tunes.

Sunday Circus @ The Courtyard, 24 July

Long running Glasgow institution Sunday Circus makes a return this weekend with friends Sensu (Barry Price and Junior) in tow, for what promises to be a very special summer afternoon.

Now in its ninth year, Sunday Circus is well known for hosting events in unique, irregular and often undiscovered locations in and around Glasgow, in order to enhance the club-going experience. Sensu will be joined by Affi Koman and Tricky, before moving on to Sub Club for the Sensu vs. Sunday Circus after party post-11pm.

 Coming Up...

Fly Open Air Festival, Princes St Gardens, 24 Sept

Here’s one event that should definitely be on your radar – we may only be in July right now, but September is set to be hot, hot, hot when FLY presents Edinburgh's first inner city open air one day festival, in one of the most iconic locations in the world - the foot of Edinburgh Castle.

There’s a killer line-up in store, with celebrated Berlin-based duo Booka Shade just announced as a headline act, plus Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mr G, Detroit Swindle, Harri & Domenic, FLY resident DJs AND Edinburgh’s own Theo Kottis rounding out the all-star bill. Kottis will also play the after-party hosted by The Liquid Room, in conjunction with a surprise special guest. Tickets here.
