I AM – Erol Alkan @ Sub Club, Fri 20 Jan

This Friday the London-based Erol Alkan stops in at Subbie for an all-night long set. The producer, remixer, DJ and creative director behind the Phantasy label will be a familiar name to most, having built up a lengthy CV in the English capital. Alkan was a resident at seminal weekly London club Trash at the original Plastic People, before moving to The Annexe and spending several years at The End. He also found the time to comprise one half of Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve alongside Richard Norris. £10+bf

NITE TRIPPER @ Broadcast, Satu 21 Jan

Join resident DJs Holly Calder and Craig Reece for the first NITE TRIPPER of 2017. They'll be offering up modern psych, garage and fuzz mixed in with the best from the past - plus it's free entry for all, 11pm-3am.

Code presents Shlømo @ La Cheetah Club, Sat 21 Jan

For the first event of 2017, CODE bring French techno producer Shlømo to Glasgow for a live performance. He's only been on the scene for a few years, but Shlømo has already made an impact on the global techno scene, with releases on his own Taapion imprint, plus Wolfskuil and 47. Performing live with a range of real hardware, he's supported by CODE resident, Nick Morrow. £10+bf
