Equalised are set to give New Yorker, Eric Cloutier his Scottish debut this month.

A DJ since 1996, the exponent of techno and house’s deeper, sexier side originally hails from Detroit and began his career on the same circuit as so many of his Motor City contemporaries, before establishing residencies at Ann Arbor’s Necto and prominent Detroit afterhours spot, The Works.

He went on to play 2004’s Detroit’s Movement festival and its Electronic Music Festival two years later; in between times sharing deck duties with the likes of Matthew Dear, Derek Plaslaiko, Ryan Elliott and Seth Troxler, as part of the ‘Untitled’ crew.

Now based on the east coast, he works closely with Brooklyn’s Bunker club, where he hosts his own monthly night, Down. Last year he travelled to Japan to play at the Labyrinth Festival, completed several gigs across the States and Canada, recorded a number of well-received podcasts and also began work on his own studio productions.
