Hessle Audio co-founder Ben UFO, a man lauded as one of the greatest DJs of our time, kicks off The Bongo Club's month-long 20th birthday celebrations with a headline spot showcasing his crate-digging, party starting skills behind the decks. Support comes from Gavin Richardson and Velocity Funk.

Notsosilent 4th Birthday party with Funkineven @ Sneaky Pete's, Fri 30 Sep 

Another birthday celebration! This time we're over at Sneaky Pete's, celebrating four years of Notsosilent in Edinburgh with Steven Julien, aka Funkineven, making his debut in the capital for the occasion. Founder of Apron Records, the label has pulled together a diverse collection of music makers such as Seven Davis Jr, Greg Beato, Brassfoot and Delroy Edwards. Funkineven's celebrated debut LP Fallen dropped in July; a collection of forward thinking jazz-fusion and dance-ready house that makes this upcoming show a very exciting prospect indeed.

Red Room Presents Dale Howard @ The Mash House, Mon 3 Oct

Who say's Mondays aren't for partying? Red Room Presents... is a new monthly event at The Mash House, and the launch event welcomes one of house music's most prevalent producers, Dale Howard, to Edinburgh. Dale’s rise to prominence has seen him gain support from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Matthias Tanzmann, Steve Lawler, Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Maya Jane Coles, Kenny Dope, Dennis Ferrer, DJ Sneak, Hot Since 82, Richy Ahmed and Pete Tong – what further endorsement could you need?

Keep Your Eyes Peeled...

for George Fitzgerald's secret location party this Saturday (1 October). The UK-born, Berlin based DJ and producer is back in the country for a very special intimate party, with only 150 tickets available. The event promises "an incredible space with the best sound system money can buy" and a full lineup TBA. The location will be announced at 8pm on the evening of the event via email – clear your schedule and let the guessing games begin (£15 + bf)

Chilean production whizz-kid Nicolas Jaar returns with a hotly anticipated new LP on 30 September. If you just can't wait until Friday, the new six-track album, entitled Sirenscan currently be streamed in full via Jaar's own online radio project, The Network.
