Tweak_Returns: Warm up with San Proper @ Secret Location, Fri 27 Jan

Ahead of Saturday's Tweak_ relaunch party, the Tweak gang are bringing the legendary San Proper back over from Amsterdam to perform in an extremely intimate, 80-person capacity secret location. Complete with an amazing sound and light setup and a specially requested rotary mixer, enjoy a three-hour long set from the Dutch underground DJ and producer. Details of the location will be released at 9pm on the date of the event (£8+bf, includes entry to 'Tweak_ Returns' the following night at La Belle Angele).

Fractal Club with Nick Höppner (3 Hour Set) @ The Liquid Room, Sat 28 Jan

For their fourth instalment, Fractal Club welcome Nick Höppner to the capital. A mainstay in Berlin’s house and techno scene, the Berghain/Panorama Bar resident blurs the lines between tough, raw, energetic house, and adventurous big room techno.

His background as Editor for Groove Magazine led to his position as manager of Berghain/Panoramabar's in-house label, Ostgut Ton. Since the label's inception in 2005, Höppner played a defining role in its growing success, before finally handing over the reins in 2012 to concentrate on his own productions. Any tickets bought through Ticket Tailor will see your £2 booking fee donated to the very worthy Joshua Nolan Foundation (£14+bf).

Juju presents Shogun @ Opal Lounge, Mon 30 Jan

Grime fans won't want to miss this one. Shogun is the 19-year-old MC who took the internet by storm with Vulcan, a track that earned him over 700K views on YouTube. The rapper from Renfrewshire is unapologetically outspoken about his political views and the fact he won’t bow down to a certain genre, even though he’s been hailed as Scottish grime’s biggest talent. Ahead of the show, you can read The Skinny's chat with the grime prodigy here (£6+bf).

In Other News...

Big news this week – the internationally acclaimed immersive party brand elrow have announced their upcoming Scottish debut. The all-day event will take place at Glasgow night-spot SWG3 on Saturday 18th March, featuring one of elrow’s best loved themes – Sambodromo de Brasil, aka a Brazilian jungle carnival.

Witness stilt-walking samba dancers, wild tropical beasts and lost explorers roam amidst the thick foliage and exotic jungle blossoms, with zany production, lively performers, bizarre props and excessive quantities of confetti. The bad news is the event sold out within two minutes of going onsale; the good news is, the promoters are trying to organise a second date to accommodate the huge demand – register your interest here
