He goes by the name of Mr Scruff, but there's nothing shabby about Andy Carthy's quirky, fun approach to his productions. Mr. Scruff is well known for his marathon DJ sets, with some even lasting more than six hours at a time. Keep It Unreal is also the popular club night Carthy runs and the title of his debut album; for this Keep It Unreal edition, expect bumpin' hip hop cuts, rare grooves and tasty old school funk flavours (£14 + bf).

Sub Club's finest tea party visit The Mash House for a night of music in the bar and main room, with each DJ taking a turn on each of the floors to explore the full spectrum of their record collections. As well Sub Club, Bigfoot's hold down residencies at the Tunnels in Aberdeen, our own Sneaky Pete's, and Farbfernseher, Berlin. Bigfoot's have been bringing some of the most cutting edge talent to Scotland for the last eight years now and never disappoint on the dancefloor (free before 12am, £5 after).

Fourbyfour presents Phil Kieran @ La Belle Angele, Sat 19 Nov

La Belle hosts the second leg of Phil Kieran's Blinded By The Sun album tour, which is the fourth studio album for the Belfast-born DJ and producer. The LP, which was released last month, uses a sun theme as a metaphor for Kieran's experiences in the electronic music industry; "with all of its supposed glamour and beauty, it is the same industry that burns so many" reads the press release. No samples were used on the album, with Kieran instead incorporating musicians and original sounds into the company. Support comes from Krowne and Octophant b2b Chunk (£10 +bf, £6 students)
