Minival with Cristof, Gangs Of Seaton & Dimbee @ Sneaky Pete's, 15 July

Ever wondered what's hot in Uzbekistan's clubs right now? If your interest is piqued, look no further than Gangs of Seaton. The young Uzbek duo will be enlightening us in the dance music tastes of Central Asia when collective Minival take over Sneaky Pete's this weekend. Keeping things a little closer to home, Cristof and Minival resident Dimbee will also be on hand to ensure the tunes keep on flowing until the clock strikes three.

FLY presents Jezz Simpson @ Cabaret Voltaire, 15 July

This Friday, Edinburgh's weekly underground house and techno party hosts resident and house music enthusiast Jezz Simpson. The club night regularly features both big international names and need-to-know local talents; so if you're short on party plans this weekend, why not head along and see what the capital has to offer. There's a dedicated disco room for those who like to get down, too.

Hashman Deejay and Ramzi (live) @ Sneaky Pete's, 16 July

Back over at Sneaky Pete's, it's the Canadians who are bringing the heat. First up there's a live set from underground act Ramzi on the back of her recently released album (the fourth in the space of three years) on the highly acclaimed NYC label Rvng Intl, before Hashman Deejay forays into his trademark woozy, hazy deep beats.

Boasting releases on Mood Hut, Future Times, and Good Going, and having collaborated with the likes of Max D on the excellent Shoegaze/Samba Falstaff release, the talented producer certainly knows whats up, and this one is sure to be a floor-filler.

Festival Watch

There's now just two weeks to go until the Sensu Bank Holiday special, which stars Glaswegian stomper Denis Sulta. He's joined at the one-dayer by gun Bristol producer Eats Everything, who has been backed by everyone from Seth Troxler to Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin. Further support comes from Barry Price, Junior and Alan Belshaw, with the event kicking off at Glasgow's East End venue St Luke's before settiling into Sub Club for the post-11pm antics.

Further afield, the Sub Club Soundsystem weekender takes over Glasgow's Barras Art & Design Centre on 27 & 28 August. Tickets have nearly disappeared for this one, so act quick if you don't want to miss out on what will surely be killer sets from the likes of Tale Of Us, Ame, Mano Le Tough, Joy Orbison b2b with Roman Flugel, and more.
