No Cross, No Crown @ King's Hall, Wednesday 10 Aug

First up, an intriguing festival pick that spans rare boogie, disco, italo, house, jazz funk, and latin grooves, courtesy of Modessa Jazz and Mondo Bongo. Going on the show's promise of 'a completely unique festival rendezvous that blends transcendental dance music with one of Edinburgh's most interesting pop-up spaces', this one is definitely worth a look.

Festival fever continues with Bigfoot's Tea Party, Scotland's roaming collective of techno party-starters. Entry is only a fiver to see Wrick, Chris, George and co, who have been going strong since 2008, and the music will be flowing right up until the 5am finish.

Phonik presents Enrico Sangiuliano @ La Belle Angele, Friday 12 Aug

With recent releases Gem Records, Tronic and Adam Beyer's Swedish techno label Drumcode, Enrico Sangiuliano is without doubt one of today's hottest talents. Last year Sangiuliano found international success with the remix ‘Can You Hear Me’ for DJ Boris on Alleanza, which earnt the Italian DJ the title of the highest selling Beatport Techno track of 2015 and the 'longest time in the global top 10’ in the best of Beatport chart.

Featured on this month's Drumcode A-Sides Vol.5 release, Sangiuliano also has a hotly anticipated EP due out in August. He plays alongside Phonik residents Ashley Shabz, Mark Santangelo and Sean Whelan.

In Other News...

The next three stops in Resident Advisor's In Residence series have been announced, and it's none other than Glasgow's very own Sub Club leading the charge this September. The global run of parties has showcased some of the most cherished nightclubs in the world, with stints in Chicago, Paris, Offenbach, Lisbon, Helsinki and Barcelona so far - and now Glasgow takes centre stage.

The party opens with a headline slot by dance music legend Sasha on September 18th, with the likes of Barnt, Virginia, Audion and Selvagem performing across the following three dates (September 23rd, 24th and 30th.) Club staples Junior & Barry Price, Harri & Domenic and Optimo will also spin at various points throughout the month.

Sub Club is certainly keeping good company in the series, which then heads to Goa Club in Rome (with shows from Daniel Avery, Jeff Mills and Rhadoo as highlights) and then on to Seoul venue Mystik, where Dixon, German techno legend Moritz von Oswald and Tokyo-born DJ/producer Wata Igarashi all feature.
