Club C.I.T.S. @ Texture, 3 Feb

A brand new bimonthly club night from the brains behind two of Manchester's most progressive outfits, Annex Agency and Gesamtkunstwerk, Club C.I.T.S. aims to push the boundaries of club music and has already lined up three double bills of artists operating at the thrilling fringes of the dancefloor. The first pairing brings together Bonaventure – who 'uses music as an identity research tool' – and the paranoiac perfection of Coucou Chloe's dark sonic splatters. From 10pm, £7 on the door or you can whack them the money via Paypal

Below the Surface with Gilles Peterson @ Hidden, 10 Feb

Positive vibes will be the order of the day at this get-together of big-sky thinking selectors, led by BBC Radio 6 Music's Gilles Peterson. Manc tropical house favourite Ruf Dug shares in Peterson's globe-trotting musical DNA, while Lone is one of the UK's most cerebrally searching young producers. They're accompanied by a full Manchester complement of Adesse Versions, Jack M, De La Crème and Cult DJs in Below the Surface's first party of 2017. From 9pm, £20

Zutekh 8th birthday @ Hidden, 25 Feb

Zutekh still feels like one of the freshest nights on the scene, so it's hard to believe they're nudging a decade old. But eight they are, and they're celebrating in style by bringing in one of their long-loved regulars, Midland, ably supported by Amsterdam's Trouw club regular Job Jobse and word-of-mouth Hotflush Recordings talent Or:la. Finally, making his Zutekh debut is Mr Price of London/Bristol/Cardiff's Studio 89 party series. Hip hip! From 9pm, £15
