Don't-miss parties this week

The Make Believe Ballroom presents Bake b2b Tasker @ Soup Kitchen, 16 Mar

If you weren't already convinced by the night's rather good name (a ballroom of the mind?!), you'll want to get down to Soup Kitchen basement for Bake, who runs Glasgow's All Caps imprint (responsible for tracks from the likes of Kowton and Alex Coulton), and the always on-point Tasker, whose flawless track record of affiliations – NTS, Young Turks – speaks for itself. From 11pm, £5

Chamber presents Radial & Bleaching Agent @ Soup Kitchen, 17 Mar

It's back to Soup basement on Friday night for the debut from brand new night Chamber, whose first bookings tell you something about the kind of scorching, surgical techno sound you can expect from future shows. The Netherlands' Jeroen Liebregts aka Radial joins mercenary producer Bleaching Agent, currently affiliated with Mira, Opal Tapes and others. Avoid contact with the eyes. From 11pm, £8

Percolate with Leon Vynehall & more @ Hidden, 18 Mar

Down to the last few tickets for this simple but belting line-up from Percolate: Vynehall all night in one room, plus Marquis Hawkes and Krywald & Farrer in t'others. Move swiftly. From 10pm, £17.50

The Other with Annabel Fraser and Mr Redley @ The White Hotel, 18 Mar

One of Manchester's favourite DJs (and Eastern Bloc tip) Annabel Fraser is joined by London's Mr Redley, fresh from landing a position with the Boiler Room team, for a typical back to basics White Hotel rendezvous. From 11pm, £5

Yussef Kamaal afterparty @ Band on the Wall, 24 Mar

Hotly tipped new Gilles Peterson signees Yussef Kamaal party on down after their gig at Band on the Wall, with band member and ace DJ Henry Wu on the decks, plus Manchester's own Irfan Rainy. Expect beats referencing Kamaal's hybrid sound, taking in hip-hop, broken beat, blues and soul. From 11pm, £6 or free with gig ticket

Club C.I.T.S. #2: Endgame + LOFT @ Texture, 7 Apr

A new bimonthly club night from the brains behind two of Manchester's most progressive outfits, Annex Agency and Gesamtkunstwerk, Club C.I.T.S. aims to push the boundaries of club music. They're programming some fantastic double bills of artists operating at the thrilling fringes of the dancefloor, and their next pairing brings together Endgame, whose layered sound emerges from the cold ashes of grime, and the hallucinogenic LOFT, the latest artist to join the Astral Plane Recordings family. From 10pm, £7
