Don't-miss parties this week

A Queer Revue! @ Band on the Wall, 17 Feb

This year's Queer Contact Festival may be drawing to a close – but not without a bang, in the form of anarchic queer performance platform Mother's Ruin and its official after party at Band on the Wall, A Queer Revue!, starring Drunk at Vogue DJs and Make A Scene, Manchester's wild interactive party. From 11pm, £6

Erol Alkan @ The Deaf Institute, 17 Feb

Still keeping kids dancing, the one and only Erol plays an intimate show at the Deaf – who can believe this hasn't sold out yet?! Snap up a ticket pronto. From 11pm, £18

Dust Off w/ Joe Delon @ The White Hotel, 18 Feb

The Dust Off crew come to Manchester – well, Salford – for the first time, bringing their sturdy reputation and loyal following to one of the best party spaces in town. They've got Spaced resident Joe Delon in tow, plus longtime favourite Sam Ashton; dress code is 'camp & tough, dusty' and there's a pre-party beforehand at Eastern Bloc. Colour us intrigued. From 11pm, £6

Livity Sound: Pev b2b Kowton @ Versions (Joshua Brooks), 18 Feb

Bristol's fabled Livity Sound, er, sound, gets a full outing tonight with two of its leading men, Peverelist and Kowton, in the JB basement. Sharp, clever techno for a tenner. We're in. From 11pm, £10

Maurice Fulton & Nick Sinna @ Soup Kitchen, 18 Feb

Almost criminal, this – the muscular, left-leaning house of Maurice Fulton, pretty much all night for a fiver. From 11pm, £5

pelican. presents DJ Normal 4 @ Soup Kitchen, 23 Feb

pelican. team up with charity Shout At Cancer – who work to help restore people's voices after major surgery for throat cancer using singing, acting and breathing techniques – to welcome DJ Normal 4 to Soup Kitchen's world famous basement for a night of early 90s rave, breaks and bleeps. From 10pm, £8

Zutekh 8th birthday @ Hidden, 25 Feb

Zutekh still feels like one of the freshest nights on the scene, so it's hard to believe they're nudging a decade old. But eight they are, and they're celebrating in style by bringing in one of their long-loved regulars, Midland, ably supported by Amsterdam's Trouw club regular Job Jobse and word-of-mouth Hotflush Recordings talent Or:la. Finally, making his Zutekh debut is Mr Price of London/Bristol/Cardiff's Studio 89 party series. Hip hip! From 9pm, £15
