Hot Plate continue their strong string of New Year bookings with an appearance from 2-step/garage originator MJ Cole, fast becoming a Hot Plate fave. They're on to final release tickets, so get this in your diary. From 10pm, £15 

Meine Nacht with DJ Seinfeld @ location TBA, 27 Jan 

Look, who doesn't want to see a DJ called DJ Seinfeld? More to the point, they're supported by Hotflush signing and Meine Nacht originator Or:la, whose distinct beats and breaks are a hot ticket in Liverpool and, increasingly, beyond. From 10pm, £16 

Modu:lar 2017 opening with Archie Hamilton & more @ Buyers Club, 28 Jan 

Modu:lar welcome their pal and Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ Archie Hamilton to the decks, plus Undersound man Harry McCanna – with residents Nerram and visual artist Matt Lee, and sound and light by Total Control. A feast for the senses. From 10pm, £10 (£5 student)
