It's all about the melody this weekend in Liverpool clubs, as Simian Mobile Disco bring their crowdpleasing sound to 24 Kitchen Street and the So Flute team rock up at Buyers Club with all manner of worldly grooves.

Shadows with Ussy Bassline @ 24 Kitchen Street, 23 Mar

Shake out the midweek cobwebs with some proper bassline from Ussy, whose gained himself a big following performing with the likes of Darkzy, Mr V, My Nu Leng, Flava D, Holly Goof, TDQ, Skepsis and more. The Shadows lot have 'got a new set of wavy visuals to show off' too. All for a fiver, can't say fairer. From 10.30pm, £6 

So Flute @ Buyers Club, 24 Mar 

One of Manchester's favourite crews makes another trip to Liverpool, after last year's successful session at the Shipping Forecast. This time, the So Flute lot hit up Buyers Club's intimate upstairs space, with Tru Thoughts' Werkha in tow, plus residents Danuka, Baloo and more. Expect open-minded sounds from acid jazz to modern soul, Brazilian funk and afrobeat. From 11pm, £5 

Simian Mobile Disco @ 24 Kitchen Street, 25 Mar 

James Ford and Jas Shaw have been throwing parties for a decade or more, their mobile disco of melodic techno causing meltdowns all over the world. This is a pretty rare opportunity to see them in such an up-close-and-personal space, thanks to promoters Boogaloo. They'll be playing for three hours, with support from Andrew Hill (Abandon Silence), Sunny Side Up (Boogaloo) and Jonnie Judge. From 11pm, £12

Percolate Liverpool launch @ Underground Liverpool, 21 Apr  

Mancunians are familiar with the folk behind Percolate, who're responsible for bringing some of the finest electronic artists to the rainy city. Now they make their Liverpool debut, with two deep-digging selectors offering a night of disco, soul and funk gems: step up, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Jeremy Underground. Give 'em a hale and hearty welcome, won't you? From 10pm, £15
