Don't-miss clubs this week

Hot Plate w/ Holy Goof & Big Zuu @ 24 Kitchen Street, 2 Mar

Get the weekend off to a proper nasty (y'know, good nasty) start with two of bass/grime's hottest up-and-comers, Holy Goof and Big Zuu – plus support from Liverpool's own Suedebrown. From 10pm, £7.50

The Cloak Factory launch w/ MJ Cole & Nadia Rose @ Underground Liverpool, 4 Mar

The first in a brand new series of events at Underground under the Cloak Factory name, tonight's line-up was free for the first 500 lucky ticket-holders; those are all gone, so you'll have to pay a fiver in (no biggie) but on that evidence there's sure to be a full crowd in good spirits. MJ Cole arrives off the back of his fresh cut with Alyss (listen below), while rap starlet Nadia Rose has been tearing up stages for Busta Rhymes. From 10pm, £5

The Wonder Pot w/ Matrixxman, Avalon Emerson & ASOK @ 24 Kitchen Street, 4 Mar

One of 2016's emergent artists, Avalon Emerson has been making waves with her shimmering yet hard-hitting sounds (and emoji-fuelled video for Natural Impasse). Catch her with Matrixxman's futurist techno and local fave ASOK in the ideally suited space of Kitchen St. From 10pm, £7.50

Percolate Liverpool launch @ Underground Liverpool, 21 Apr

Mancunians are familiar with the folk behind Percolate, who're responsible for bringing some of the finest electronic artists to the rainy city. Now they make their Liverpool debut, with two deep-digging selectors offering a night of disco, soul and funk gems: step up, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Jeremy Underground. Give 'em a hale and hearty welcome, won't you? From 10pm, £15
