Don't-miss parties this week:

Sat 13 Aug

Modu:lar Open Air closing party
Constellations, 2pm, £22.50

The Modu:lar Open Air series draws to a close this weekend, reaching a suitably spectacular climax with a line-up of Onur Ozer, Francesco Del Garda, Andrew James Gustav and a whole host of support acts. They'll be going strong 'til 6am, if you've got it in you...

Selador Summer Social
Buyers Club, 9pm, £5

Steve Parry plays all night long to help Selador celebrate a summer season of parties at Space in Ibiza. Should be a solid night of house and techno.

STATK present Adam Shelton & MR KS
New Bird Street Warehouse, 19 Aug, 7pm, £12

One of the biggest nights in August is next weekend courtesy of the STATK crew, who take over the Botanical Garden from 7pm and continue through to 4am with One Records founder Adam Shelton. Your ideal warm-up for the looming bank holiday weekend.

Krunk Apocolympics
The Kazimier Garden, 20 Aug, 8pm, £5/£12

Note: This event has moved from Invisible Wind Factory to Kazimier Garden.

Everything's going to hell in a handbasket so we may as well enjoy ourselves, eh? From the brainiacs behind the Kaz/Invisible Wind Factory comes a loveably odd party, Krunk Apocolympics. Take part in an evening of catastrophic competitive sports – including Recession Relay, Disaster Dressage and Chasm Jumping – all soundtracked by DJs until 4am, and let off steam after these last few turbulent months of Total Shitstorm.

The Wonder Pot with Helena Hauff
24 Kitchen Street, 22 Sep, 10pm, £8

Hamburg's Helena Hauff makes her Liverpool debut for The Wonder Pot at one of our favourite venues. With a mind for riveting EBM, avant-garde electro and general aural psychoses, Hauff is one of the most exciting producers working at the moment. Check out a playlist she put together for us last year

303 presents Henry Saiz all night long
Williamson Tunnels, 24 Sep, 9pm, £10 (NUS), £15

Spanish selector Henry Saiz is known for his rangey, exploratory tastes and some iconic remixes. Take this opportunity to go deep with him, both into his collection and into Liverpool's atmospheric Tunnels, for a six-hour set.
