Sub: Terranea presents Man Power
Wire, 11pm, £7

A sensory overload down in Wire, this, as globetrotting sound gatherer Man Power brings his 'wilfully smart-arsed influences' to Leeds with a triple hit of support from Sub: Terranea's residents – plus visuals by Grimly. It's part one of Sub: Terranea's big weekend; follow it up with part two – a free party at the 212 from 7pm on Saturday – for the full experience.

Unity Day afterparty
The Old Red Bus Station, 10pm, £5

One of the highlights of Leeds' annual music calendar, Hyde Park Unity Day is a celebration of the people and culture of LS6, involving loads of the city's musical and creative talent. The afterparty this year is a stormer, led by Iration Steppas with dancehall, d'n'b, dub and reggae across three rooms from more than 15 acts.

I Love Acid showcase
with Posthuman, Placid & Perseus Traxx
Wire, 29 Jul, 11pm, £7 

London's longest running underground acid house club night comes to Leeds courtesy of the Space Ritual label and promoters Indigo, with I Love Acid hosts Posthuman and Placid joined by Yorkshire's own Perseus Traxx. Past I Love Acid guests have included Luke Vibert and Altern8, so you're in safe hands.

No Hassle presents Yousef
Mint Club, 6 Aug, 11pm, £9-£11

The Circus recordings/club bossman comes to Leeds for the first time in several years – limber yourselves up with a selection of house he chose especially for us

Limit launch party
with Marquis Hawkes, Elliot Adamson & more
Wire, 6 Aug, 11pm, £6/£8/£10

Huddersfield night Limit has fixed up at Wire over the years, but now arrives in Leeds properly with a top launch party lineup. Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and Aus-affiliated artist Marquis Hawkes – who's more recently found a home on Fabric's Houndstooth imprint – lead proceedings, with Newcastle's Elliot Adamson in support. Gas House Kids and Limit's own DJs round things off. Give 'em a proper welcome. 

The Garden Party part 3 
with Dusky, Alan Fitzpatrick, Denis Sulta & more 
The Faversham, 28 Aug, 12pm (afterparty at Wire, 10pm), £20-£30

Leeds' own Garden Party festival returns to its roots at The Faversham for a final blowout of the summer. House duo Dusky headline, with Drumcode records' Alan Fitzpatrick and Glasgow's Denis Sulta fast behind. As the Fav winds down at 11pm, the party moves to Wire (10pm-4am).

Tramlines (Sheffield, 22-24 Jul): One of the biggest weekends in Yorkshire returns with a ridiculously good clubs lineup as ever, including Boddika, Derrick Carter, Leon Vynehall and oh, the quality just goes on and on

Liverpool International Music Festival (21-24 Jul): Various parties across the LIMF weekend welcome the likes of Thris Tian, Lewis Boardman and Circus's Yousef. 

bluedot (Jodrell Bank, Cheshire, 22-24 Jul): headline sets from Jean Michel Jarre, Caribou and Underworld, art by Brian Eno, and DJs including Ben UFO and Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve in a space observatory. Prettay, prettay good.
