And about time, too. Whether he likes it or not, Rudi Zygadlo is beginning to get the new-kid-on-the-block treatment, Glasgow-style. Being compared to Guido and Nosaj Thing, and roughly slotting into the wonk/wobble/experimental side of hip-hop, it's no surprise that his first endorsement should come from the LuckyMe mob.

But Zygadlo is firmly treading new ground. Manipulating eclectic influences and samples - classical, early hip-hop, choral, a bit of Zappa - he makes beautifully crafted, intricate, thought-provoking music. It's hefty stuff. And, while you can almost physically feel the work that's gone into it, you can also hear his motivating love of music seeping out of every shifting layer, each new reference, each beat. High praise indeed, but come and see for yourself.
