Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival

Last night saw the programme launch for this year's Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival, which runs from 11-28 March.

And what a programme it is. New helmswoman Sarah Niblock introduced us to a whole host of shows; from Frankie Boyle's I Would Happily Punch Every One of You in the Face (plenty of masochists mean this one's had some of the fastest selling tickets the Kings' Theatre has ever seen - book now as it's going to sell out any second) to the somewhat fluffier Lucy Porter and her Fools Gold. Shows we loved, but you might have missed, at last year's Edinburgh Fringe include Miles Jupp: Telling it Like it Might Be, Richard Herring: Hitler Moustache and Barry and Stuart: Powered by Demons.

You could bring your Mum along to Jenny Eclair or even take the kids to any of 20 children's shows and workshops. Highlights from local acts include Susan Morrison: F is for..., Keir McAllister: Inadequate and John Gavin: The A-Z of Parenting.

This year, The Skinny is working with the MGICF as festival partner and in particular we're supporting all the shows at Sloans on Argyle Street. The Big Lunchtime Comedy Chat Show, hosted by none other than Des Clarke and Scott Agnew is on every Thursday-Sunday at 1pm. With food included in your ticket price, it's the perfect place to spend your lunch hour. On Thursdays and Sundays we're also hosting an 8:30pm show.
