Massive Attack Announce Heligoland

After years of speculation, Massive Attack have announced details of their fifth studio album, entitled Heligoland. Due for release on the 8th of February, it features guest vocal and instrumental appearances from Damon Albarn, Hope Sandoval, Martina Topley-Bird, Guy Garvey and Tunde Adebimpe amongst others.

Long time collaborator Horace Andy also returns alongside Massive Attack founding members Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall.

Over the last three years Robert Del Naja has written and produced soundtracks for a number of films and documentaries, including Trouble In The Water, 44 Inch Chest, In Prison My Whole Life and Gamorra, the latter for which he won the David Di Donatello Award for Best Song.

This year Massive Attack won the Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award at the Ivor Novello Awards.
