Bat For Lashes @ HMV Picture House, 20 Oct

Bat For Lashes' wonderful second album Two Suns featured collaborations with Yeasayer and Scott Walker, and now Natasha Khan has persuaded one of these guests to support her on a UK tour. Sadly it's not the reclusive 30 Century Man, but Yeasayer will do just fine instead. Their debut All Hour Cymbals featured terrible puns and stirring neo-psychedelic grooves, such as in the spellbinding 2080. A new album is due out in January, by which time we expect Two Suns to have featured prominently in just about everyone's 2009 year-end round-ups. And you know what? Fur and Gold was even better.
