Over two years have passed since Bat for Lashes debut album Fur and Gold was released to rousing approval in the form of a Mercury Prize nomination, a long line of favourable nods from the British music press and a number of high profile support slots from her musical brethren. It was Natasha Khan’s uncompromised and accomplished gothic pop - an amalgam of a less sexually aggravated PJ Harvey, a less overtly abstract Bjork - which wooed the plaudits back then, and which, with the imminent release of her sophomore album Two Suns, makes her appearance at Glasgow’s QMU this April, a must see now.
