This is by and for the gore-hungry and genre-savvy demographic so dedicated to these straight to video zombie movies, but is unlikely to satisfy the more seasoned of the brood as blood and guts only feature as prominently as its zero budget will allow for. The main focus is instead the characters as they band together, sheltering from the holocaust, who are then picked of by the undead and their own internal tensions. It thinks itself rather clever as it plays with the rules of genres enough to set this otherwise familiar premise apart from the glut, but this single minor redeeming feature is completely overwhelmed by the torrent of shocking ineptitude at every other level of the production. Without gore to use as crutch, and lacking the talent required to make even the most passable or generic of films, it boils down to a charmless embarrassment. Abysmal.
