Slam Tent @ T In the Park, Balado, 12-13 Jul

Things are a-changing in festival land. In times gone by, the 'dance tent' was somewhere the masses wandered into after all the bands were finished or took brief refuge in between watching their favourite guitar-wielding crooners on the main stage. Not anymore. Festival-goers now seem more interested in throwing shapes than bottles of piss and the superstar DJs are set to become the main attraction. And with good reason, judging by what T in the Park’s Slam Tent has to offer. Saturday sees Jeff Mills top the bill alongside performances from Carl Craig, Erol Alkan and Modeselektor and many more. Those still mobile enough to leave the campsite on Sunday morning can catch Rob Da Bank, followed by Justice, Slam and Aphex Twin.
