Hot Chip - My Piano

Darlings of the Mercury Music Prize, Hot Chop return with My Piano, the first single to be released since the band's million selling album The Warning. The song is taken from Hot Chip's compilation release on !K7 entitled DJ Kicks. The band are renowned for fusing elements from a broad musical palette which include techno, hip-hop and even folk and this release follows much of the same formula. Fans of the band's previous outings won't be left disappointed that's for sure. Within the first 60 seconds the track's title becomes pretty self-explanatory, My Piano is a fun little ditty which calls to mind the likes of a New Order and even the Pet Shop Boys. [Natalie Doyle]
