In Alienoid Starmonica these aliens prove there's life on other planets after all
Rising from the smouldering ashes of the much revered Beta Band is the intergalactic sound of The Aliens. This four-track EP combines the warped experimentation of The Betas with lucid grooves and an unprecedented sense of direction. Seamlessly fleeting from country to hip-hop there's no shortage of self-assurance here and with the high-camp disco funk of I'm A Robot Man it's easy to see why. Lacking the breathtaking dramatics of the 3 EPs this is still a psychedelically surreal concoction that oozes with precocious lunacy. In Alienoid Starmonica these aliens prove there's life on other planets after all. [Billy Hamilton]
