Edinburgh Art Festival (EAF), the UK’s largest annual festival of visual art, is looking for proposals from artists, curators and organisations working in the field of visual art to participate in EAF's 14th festival edition, which will run 27 Jul-27 Aug 2017. Specifically they’re looking for submissions to the Platform: 2017 and Pop-up Exhibitions and Events.

The Platform project, now approaching its third edition, aims to showcase and support artists at the beginning of their careers, and give them a space within the festival programme. You can take a look at the 2016 edition here. From this open call, a selection of artists (typically between three and five) will be invited to present their work in a group exhibition as part of the festival, with EAF providing artist fees, a dedicated production budget, and support from the festival team throughout the development and delivery of the exhibition.

If you’re an already established artist, there’s also the possibility to propose work for the festival’s Pop-Up Exhibitions and Events. If you’re working in the field of visual culture but do not have a year-round exhibition programme in Edinburgh, you’re invited to submit proposals to Edinburgh Art Festival’s panel, which includes Sorcha Carey, the festival's director, and the festival's programme committee.

For full criteria and application forms for both programmes, visit Edinburgh Art Festival’s website. Application deadline: Mon 29 Feb, 5pm
